I’m sure most of you saw this already, but this video captured by Scoble simply blew my mind away. For a second, I never realized electric cars are actually quiet. Elon Musk, the investor behind Tesla Motor, and one of the founders of Paypal, got the very first model. 

With 0 to 60mph under 4 seconds, 220 miles run per charge, and (depending on the electricity bill) it costs about 1 cent a mile. Single charge takes about (estimated) 3 ~ 5 hours. Very eco-friendly and money saving. Even the sheer torque itself is amazing.

The car itself is relatively cheap compared to other luxury cars. Around $100k, but the reservation for year 2008 is full, and you have to pay $5,000 just to get in the line for the model year 2009.
